Underwater and overwhelmed homeowners can seek assistance Saturday in Fort Lauderdale.
Consolidated Credit Counseling Services will host a free seminar for people who owe more than their properties are worth. Roy Oppenheim, a Weston-based foreclosure defense lawyer, and two other speakers will address possible solutions and discuss programs that might offer relief for troubled borrowers.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Consolidated Credit’s office, 5701 West Sunrise Blvd. Email housing@consolidatedcredit.org to register. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows.
